Chopper fans feature sharp blades mounted onto the fan impellers themselves. These self-contained, self-cleaning cutter/fans cut or tear the material as it is drawn through the fan. PAC chopper fans are recommended for high volume, wide trim that is easily torn and for discontinuous strands and loose pieces of material that need to be reduced in size. Ideal applications include paperboard, floor mat trim and scrap aluminum, among hundreds of others.

PAC chopper fans may be customized with non-stick coatings, corrosion-resistant materials and sound attenuation devices.
