Newark, DE: Two new dust collectors from process equipment manufacturer Precision AirConvey, Newark, Del. (www.precisionairconvey.com), feature a slate of engineering advances that combine to provide highly efficient, reliable dust collection down to two microns. The new PAC reverse pulse-jet models 12 and 16 are designed with an oversized compressed air cannon and reservoir that permit high volumes of powerful compressed air bursts to clean the filter cartridges at the frequent intervals required to deliver an impressive air to cloth ratio of 1.3 – 1.8:1. An innovative, wide-space filter configuration and steep-angled hopper, supported by the powerful cleaning action, promote the consistent removal of dust without bridging, caking or other build up. By continuously clearing the filter media, the PAC dust collectors minimize resistance, maintain high airflows and promote maximum performance even with high volumes and abrasive materials in 24/7 operation. "We’ve designed a system that eliminates
delta P as a hindrance to performance," asserts PAC CEO Tom Embley.
Designed to virtually eliminate worker exposure to dust, the low-maintenance PAC dust collectors include a slide-out filter cartridge system that ensures the occasional filter removal for replacement may be done entirely from outside the dust collector. The versatile PAC dust collectors also feature a proprietary dust hood, which accommodates a wide range of air separators from multiple manufacturers. Replacement of under-performing units in existing processing lines is quick and easy. Further, their modular design permits its capacity to be expanded by up to 100% as processing demands increase. The PAC dust collectors are ideal for processing paper, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, excipients, minerals, wood, rubber and other products.
