Newark, DE: Trim waste and scrap solution provider Precision AirConvey, Newark, Del., has introduced the S2K Slant Screen Separator for removing conveying air and momentum from cut waste material in pneumatic trim handling systems. Ideal for converting, printing, plastic film processing, print-to-mail and other installations where the higher capacity of the company's original slant screen separator may be untapped, the new S2K slant screen separator delivers the same quality, reliability and cost-efficiency at low to moderate production rates.

The S2K slant screen separator is modeled on the same proprietary technology as its larger predecessor but is 40 percent smaller to deliver high performance operation while permitting installation inside facilities and on rooftops where cyclones and spirators either would not fit or would not be able to handle the volume or type of material. Developed for separating nonwovens, films, corrugated board, paper and other materials, the S2K slant screen separator takes the conveyed waste material, removes the air and directs up to 100% of the waste material into a baler, collector bag, box, compactor or other waste container without screen blinding and without dangerous turbulence and air pressure in drop chutes and downstream equipment. Trim carryover is virtually eliminated.

The S2K slant screen separator includes a viewing window and access panel for safe, easy flow monitoring; a puncture resistant, replaceable perforated steel screen and an adjustable inlet-airfoil to set optimal air velocity. The modular PAC S2K separator is designed for future expandability to accommodate increases in volume and may be installed in new production lines or retrofit on existing systems, indoors or outdoors.
