New Briquetter Transforms Scrap Into Valuable, Reusable Material

Newark, DE: A new briquetting system from trim waste and scrap solution provider Precision AirConvey, Newark, Del., converts trim, loose scrap and other flexible plastic waste into valuable bricks suitable for reprocessing or easy disposal. Ideal for converters, label manufacturers, plastic processors, recycling centers, contract packagers and others, the new briquetting system compresses film, foil, poly-coated paper and other clean or dirty materials into manageable, 5 x 5, rigid bricks without adding heat history to the material. The briquetting system may be adjusted to produce bricks from eight to 30 inches long for easy handling, stacking and palletizing at rates of up to 350 lbs./hr. without requiring a baler.

Operating in-line in extrusion and converting lines or with a remote receiving system for trailer-based and other operations, the PAC briquetting system installs in as little as five minutes with a compact footprint that saves floor space. Powered by an Allen Bradley PLC, the quiet, smooth-running briquetting system features easy-to-operate controls to promote safe, efficient operation by virtually any operator.
